Megan Thee Stallion brought her charisma to the Great White Way this week for her Moulin Rouge! The Musical debut.
For an eight-week engagement, the three-time Grammy winner plays Zidler in her inaugural Broadway performance, becoming the first woman to do so. Among those in attendance were Girls Trip stars Queen Latifah and Tiffany Haddish.
During the show, Megan slipped in two of her fan-favorites, the Grammy-winning “Savage” and “Body.”
On Wednesday (March 25), Megan posted an Instagram reel of her post-show curtain call, where she received a long applause from attendees.
“MY BROADWAY DEBUT AS ZIDLER IN @moulinrougebway 🥹🥹🎭🎭” the rapper captioned the post. “So grateful for this incredible cast & crew & everyone who worked so hard to make opening night a success!! HOTTIES IM ON BROADWAY!!”
Megan Thee Stallion has been in the acting space for some time, with past credits in television shows P-Valley, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law along with movies Dicks: The Musical and the 2024 Mean Girls remake. Most recently, she guest-starred on Peacock comedy series The Fall & Rise of Reggie Dinkins.
In 2022, Megan told The Hollywood Reporter about her aspirations to become a director. “I definitely want to be an actress, but I also really want to be a director. I love movies and I’m definitely a film buff,” she told the publication. “I like to create. Not only do I like to write music, I like to write stories. I definitely want to see these stories come to life.”
