Good Morning America‘s weekend host, Janai Norman, is leaving the network in a major shake-up after working for ABC since 2011.
On April 1, a Status newsletter reported that ABC, which is owned by Disney, did not renew Norman’s contract. Her last day with GMA was not revealed.
A source familiar with the situation also told Parade that Norman’s contract was up and not renewed. ABC declined to comment. As of writing, Norman has not announced her departure.
In 2011, Norman joined ABC News as an intern. She worked for the network as a correspondent for New York and anchor for several programs, including World News Now and America This Morning. Norman signed on as a Good Morning America Weekend co-anchor in 2022 alongside Whit Johnson and Eva Pilgrim. She also hosts Oh Baby! on ABC.

Norman’s departure is the latest in a string of exits and additions in recent years. In 2023, Amy Robach and TJ Holmes exited GMA3: What You Need to Know following their relationship scandal. DeMarco Morgan and Pilgrim took over as anchors after they left, and Gio Benitez was added to the weekend lineup.
