Brie Larson, Donald Glover star in ‘Super Mario Bros. Movie’ 2026
Brie Larson, Donald Glover and Benny Safdie are part of the star-studded voice cast of “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie,” a sequel to the 2023 film.
Limited-edition “Super Mario Galaxy Movie” popcorn buckets featuring fan-favorite characters are rolling out in theaters nationwide beginning April 1, drawing strong demand from moviegoers and collectors alike.
Major chains including AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas, Cinemark Theatres and Marcus Theatres are offering the themed containers at concession stands, with additional availability through online storefronts.
The collectible buckets include a Yoshi egg design and an LED-lit Luma star, both inspired by Nintendo’s “Super Mario Galaxy” universe. Prices range from about $45 to $50, depending on the item and retailer.
The Yoshi bucket, unveiled by AMC in early March, features the green dinosaur seated while holding his signature spotted egg, which opens to store popcorn. The design also includes Yoshi’s shell on his back.
Fans can also purchase themed bundles online, including a Luma “Galaxy Bundle” available through Fandango’s FanStore.
Retailers have imposed purchase limits in some cases. Regal, for example, allows customers to buy up to three Yoshi buckets per person, with pre-orders listed as “coming soon” on its website.
In addition to in-theater purchases, chains are offering limited quantities through their digital shops, including Cinemark Shop, Regal Store and AMC Theatres Shop. Some items are available for pre-order, while others are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
The buckets are already in high demand, with reports of items selling out quickly at select locations.
