TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. — A flash flood warning is in effect for Tangipahoa Parish until 9:45 p.m. Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service.
The Tangipahoa Parish Government is advising drivers to turn around instead of driving through flood waters.
Severe storms on Thursday night could also bring destructive wind gusts up to 60 mph, as well as the potential for hail and lightning, NWS said.
