After only just returning to the Spanish capital after the international window, Real Madrid make the trip to Mallorca for a must-win La Liga bout on Saturday night.
With only nine league games left in 2025–26, every match is a final for a Los Blancos side desperate to catch up to Barcelona in the La Liga standings. Still four points back, Álvaro Arbeloa’s men cannot afford any more slip ups, or else they risk losing out on another major trophy to the Catalans.
Unlike their bitter rivals, who have to face Atlético Madrid in their first game back, Real Madrid have a much easier opponent in front of them: Mallorca. Martín Demichelis’s side sits in 18th place, currently eyeing relegation with only 28 points from 29 matches.
The 15-time European champions might be tempted to look ahead to the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals against Bayern Munich midweek, but they must first handle business in Mallorca, something they failed to do in two of their last three trips to Son Moix.
Mallorca vs. Real Madrid Score Prediction
Los Blancos Tally Sixth Consecutive Win

Mallorca might have given Real Madrid a fight earlier in the season, but they were playing a very different team in white. The 15-time European champions are reborn under Arbeloa, playing the type of soccer that suddenly has them dreaming of silverware again.
The return of Mbappé only makes the team more dangerous, especially going against an opponent that has kept zero clean sheets in 2026. Jude Bellingham’s availability, whether from the start or off the bench, adds another goalscoring threat the hosts must deal with.
Demichelis’s men have what it takes to catch Los Blancos out and even find the back of the net, but in the end, they will be simply outmatched by an in-form Real Madrid eager to extend their winning streak to six matches.
- Real Madrid’s away form: Los Blancos boast the best away record in the Spanish top-flight. They have recorded nine wins and secured a total of 30 points from 14 away battles.
- Mallorca’s nose dive: The hosts got their season off to a solid start but completely lost their form in 2026. Mallorca have won only three of their last 12 matches.
- Unstoppable Mbappé: There’s nothing Mbappé loves more than scoring against La Liga teams. The Frenchman leads the Pichichi race with 23 goals and comes into the fixture with 54 league goals since his move to Madrid.
Prediction: Mallorca 1–3 Real Madrid
Mallorca Predicted Lineup vs. Real Madrid

Mallorca are in for a massive boost with the returns of Jan Virgili and Johan Mojica. The two players are back from their respective suspensions, and the Colombian fullback is in line to start.
Both Takuma Asano and Marash Kumbulla are also called up for Saturday’s clash after months on the sidelines. The former has not featured since February and the latter has been out since January. Demichelis will likely not risk either player, but it is a positive sign for the club nonetheless.
Jan Salas, who is nursing a knee injury, and Lucas Bergström, who is dealing with a muscle problem, remain out.
Otherwise, all eyes will be striker Vedat Muriqi, who comes into the match with 18 goals in 28 appearances this season. The only player with more league goals is Real Madrid’s Mbappé.
Mallorca predicted lineup vs. Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Román; Maffeo, Raíllo, Valjent, Mojica; Costa, Mascarell; Luvumbo, Torre, Joseph; Muriqi.

Real Madrid are still without long-term absentees Thibaut Courtois, Rodrygo, Dani Ceballos and Ferland Mendy for the trip to Mallorca. They will also have to get by without captain Federico Valverde, who is suspended for the clash after seeing red in the Madrid derby.
The good news is that Éder Militão is back available for the first time since suffering a serious hamstring injury in December. The injury boost comes alongside the recent returns of Mbappé and Jude Bellingham.
Only the forward is expected to start, though, while Militão and Bellingham require more time to return to full match fitness. Arda Güler will continue to start in midfield in place of the England international while Eduardo Camavinga is slated to replace the suspended Valverde.
Vinicius Junior is due for a rest on Saturday after logging heavy minutes for Brazil during the international break despite complaints of pain in his thigh. Brahim Díaz is the likely candidate to partner Mbappé up top.
Real Madrid predicted lineup vs. Mallorca (4-4-2): Lunin; Alexander-Arnold, Rüdiger, Huijsen, Carreras; Güler, Pitarch, Tchouaméni, Camavinga; Díaz, Mbappé.
