KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Tennessee Lady Vol basketball signee Oliviyah Edwards has requested a release from her signing with Tennessee, per On3.

Edwards is a five-star power forward and rated a top five player in the Class of 2026.

Edwards committed to Tennessee on Oct. 13 of last year and officially signed her National Letter of Intent on Nov. 18.

She chose Tennessee over other top programs such as South Carolina, USC, LSU, Florida and Washington.

The Lady Volunteers currently only have one player returning from last year’s team, freshman Jaida Civil. Seven other players have announced they intend to enter the transfer portal when it opens April 7.
