Flood warning issued for Clinton County. What to know

A flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids MI at 12:48 a.m. on Saturday, April 4. This warning applies to Clinton County and the Maple River.

The NWS warns: “Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. “, The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids MI has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Michigan, Maple River at Maple Rapids affecting Clinton County. Portage River near Vicksburg affecting Kalamazoo County.

WHAT: Minor flooding is forecast.

WHERE: Maple River at Maple Rapids.

WHEN: From this afternoon to Sunday, April 12.

IMPACTS: At 9 feet, Expect minor flooding of County Line Road.

What to do during a flood warning
