It’s been a rough stretch on tour for the Goo Goo Dolls, with multiple Canadian shows suddenly canceled this week.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — It’s been a tough week for the Goo Goo Dolls.

First, they canceled a Monday show at GFL Memorial Gardens Arena in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, due to an illness. Then they canceled a Wednesday show at Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa, Ontario, again because of illness.

Another cancellation came Thursday, this time for a date at TD Coliseum in Hamilton. It also came with a diagnosis, and hope that they would be back on stage this weekend.

“With sorrow and gratitude, we must cancel tonight’s show at TD Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario, as John (Rzeznik) has been diagnosed with pneumonia,” the Goo Goo Dolls said on social media.

“We plan to resume the rest of our Canadian run and hope to see fans this Saturday in London, Ontario. All tickets for tonight’s show will be refunded at the place of purchase.”

The final date on the Canadian leg of the tour is April 11 in Moncton, New Brunswick. After that, the Goo Goo Dolls have a festival in Texas, then one show in Mexico before a summer tour through the states.
