Witnesses told investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office that the man was walking with a cart when he was hit by a white vehicle.
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — An investigation is underway after a man was hit by a car and dragged about 50 feet down the road in east Harris County, according to the sheriff’s office.
The crash happened shortly before 3:20 a.m. on Manor Street, which is in a neighborhood west of Beltway 8 and south of Woodforest Boulevard.
Witnesses told investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office that the man was walking with a cart when he was hit by a white vehicle. After the impact, HCSO said the white vehicle carried the victim for about 50 feet. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The only information we have at the moment is that there was a white vehicle, possibly a sedan,” said HCSO Lt. Berry.
There’s no word on a suspect.
