WISCONSIN, USA — Authorities have located the missing eight-year-old girl, who disappeared in Monroe County, Wisconsin, on Friday. 

According to the Wautoma Police Department, the girl was found by the Nebraska State Patrol. Her condition at this time is unknown. 

Law enforcement says they have taken 44-year-old Joseph Nicpon into custody, after the girl was previously reported to be in a vehicle with Nicpon and a woman, last seen traveling on I-90 near Sparta around 12:55 p.m. on Friday. 

The Wautoma Police Department previously published that Nicpon is on the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry for two sexual assault cases. Records indicate Nicpon was convicted of incest with a child in 2017.
