The Chicago White Sox are set to play their home opener Friday one day after severe storms forced the team to postpone their festivities.
The team made the announcement on Wednesday, 27 hours before they were scheduled to take the field against the reigning American League-champion Toronto Blue Jays on the South Side of Chicago.
Here’s what to know about the big game:
What time is the White Sox home opener?
The game is set for 1:10 p.m. Friday.
What if you had tickets for Thursday?
According to the White Sox, all tickets for the Thursday game will be honored for the makeup date on Friday.
Who will throw out the first pitch?
The team also announced that Chance the Rapper will throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the rescheduled game.
When do the Guaranteed Rate parking lots and gates open?
Parking lots will open at 10 a.m., and Rate Field’s gates will open at 11:10 a.m.
Pre-paid parking is strongly encouraged and available here.
What is the bag policy for Guaranteed Rate Field?
Like last year, clear, single compartment tote bags (12 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches or smaller), clutch purses (9 inches by 5 inches by 2 inches or smaller) and diaper bags when the infant is present are allowed to be brought inside the ballpark, according to OEMC.
No backpacks or other bags are allowed.
Where can you watch the game?
Chicago Sports Network will air the game and fans can listen on ESPN Chicago Radio AM-1000/FM-100.3 HD2.
Is there anything else to know?
Fans attending the game may also notice an authorized drone being used for filming, OEMC said.
The White Sox have gotten off to a bit of a slow start on the season, getting swept by the Milwaukee Brewers and then splitting the first two games of their series against the Miami Marlins.
The team will return home Friday to host a three-game series against the Blue Jays, then will take on the Baltimore Orioles for three games before hitting the road again next week.
